Objectives of Roselodge

The primary goal for staff will be the promotion of optimum health, happiness and independence and to provide person-centred care and support which promotes kindness, consideration and respect for our resident’s dignity, privacy and autonomy.

This will be achieved by providing a safe and caring environment which will support and provide the stimulation to enable residents to maximize their potential ie. physical, emotional and intellectual, whilst ensuring that a partnership process is developed between staff and families.

Types of care

We may provide care for those persons suffering from impairment in memory, judgement, language skills and deterioration in social skills. We may also provide care to those persons who suffer from chronic forms of mental disabilities who can no longer live unsupported in society but whose needs can be met by a supportive care environment.

We may provide care for persons under 65 with Acquired Brain Injury after careful; consultation with the family and the support of the Multidisciplinary team to provide outside resources.

We may also provide respite care usually for 1 – 2 week periods or as the needs of the person or family dictates, depending on bed availability at the time.

We may also provide convalescent care for residents post hospital discharge.

All of our nurses have previously worked in acute hospital settings.
